It's great initiative!So, we've designated an hour-and-a-half for Christian singles to be at Home Depot and wear a specific color. Once you register, we'll send you the specific store location in southern Oakland County in Michigan and a color to wear. You'll also receive a colored wristband when you arrive.The store will remain open to the public during this time, and other customers may unknowingly wear the same color as us. We encourage participants to be as obvious as possible with respect to the color scheme, wearing Christian garb, displaying a cross necklace, etc.There is no direct cost to sign-up, but we ask attendees to donate a new pair of work gloves for Central Detroit Christian, a Christian nonprofit in Detroit's Herman Kiefer neighborhood that renovates homes, does urban farming, and provides education and counseling resources. You can purchase gloves from Home Depot for being our gracious host!The event will include an all-group prayer at 11:30 a.m. led by a local pastor. He will pray over participating singles, the donations, and the community. We will let you know where in the store this will happen in an email with the other instructions.Participation in this fellowship event is not limited to a specific age range. You are not required to be a member of a particular church or denomination, though we ask attendees are a part of a church to be plugged into a faith community. As many people who can sign up are welcome.May is Home Improvement Month and the perfect time to grab anything you may need for home updates, to visit the nursery for gardening supplies, to pick up some spring cleaning suppliers, or to buy Dad a Father's Day gift!Please note that by participating in this space, you may be approached or face rejection.
